Japan #4 - Sumo and Steven Seagal and Monopoly...

Me outside the Sumo Arena....I'm not sure where the right hand of the sumo guy is going in the mural...
Stomping out bad spirts in the ring...they also throw salt to purify the ground..kick his ass Seabass!

the stare down before the bout....I've never started into the eyes of a sumo wrestler and I never want to...
More rituals....this is the like the swimsuit competition...but Sumo style...

Traditional Sumo ritual before the bouts begin for that level...like a big football huddle...kind of.
The bout begins...the object is to get the other guy out of the ring...most bouts last less than 30 seconds...

That's Steven Seagal in the orange shirt...really, it's him!
Steven Seagal in the flesh....we best remember him from movies such as 'Under Siege'....and, and, and little else

Saturday night Monopoly....a sad replacement for RISK....
Sumo Closing Ceremonies - big man with big stick telling us to get out...

In Japan it's where's Wally, not where's Waldo...this is a display in my classroom of some pictures I brought from home...
Steave #2...couldn't resist...

An arch on the moutain above Ashikaga....Slinky Slinky, everyone loves a slinky..go slinky go!
My first hair cut and non English speaking barber...was interesting experience...

Japanese Baseball at the Tokyo Dome...alot like the Metrodome unfortunately.
The beer service here is much more eye appealing...

My favorite Day in Japan...swimming in the river and jumping off rocks into the cold moutain water. I'm amazed we all made it out alive...

Robin and I at Stage 5 of Fuji-San - Happy...for now...
The shortest distance to the water when jumping was 20 ft or so...the tallest...you dont want to know!

Fuji Terrain...notice the walking sticks...a neccessity
Robin and I at stage 5 store - the last time we would see non-generator electricity...

Around Stage 9...morning looms...
Stage 7, 2700 Meters Baby!

Stage 8...Nearly there!
The archway we pass through at the top...offically at the summit of Fuji-San

The sun peaks over our shoulders...

Geos represent! The top of Fuji
